High-level Policy Dialogue on the M23 Conflict in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo
Posted on: 2025-04-29 08:48:54

The complex and protracted conflict between M23 and the government of DRC poses a security threat to the entire Great Lakes region and, if not resolved, could reverse the highly billed economic dividends and democratic possibilities of regional integration.
ACODE, in partnership with the Civil Society Budget Advocacy Group (CSBAG) and Next Media (NBS), is organizing a high-level policy dialogue on the M23 conflict in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC.
This dialogue is expected to contribute to the ongoing official and unofficial peace processes that have largely stalled due in part because of less understanding of the causes, actors, drivers, and positions of key parties in the conflict.
Through this dialogue, ACODE seeks to bring together key policymakers, development partners, the private sector, civil society representatives, national, regional, and international actors and analysts in an interactive high-breed discussion.
